The  RESIDENCE CLUSTER is a full-time home for a family of four, to be built at the edge of a woods, on land that was once farmed, near Hayward Wisconsin.

The site is a flat plateau, far back from a small lake.   The buildings are intended to convey the look of a northern Wisconsin farm complex.   The front of the house faces an enclosed motor court, surrounded by the main house, a guest house, a drive-through garage, sheds, and a large fenced vegetable garden.   Entry to the court is beneath the extended shed roofs.

The floor plan is arranged so that all major rooms have windows on two sides, one side facing the court yard and the other facing southeast across an open field toward the lake.   Phase 1, the main house, contains 2,668 gross square feet of living space, plus a garage.

Exterior materials will be typical barn-like vertical boards and battens.   Roofing will be standing seam galvanized metal.

Construction was started late Summer of 2004.
